Detailed Unlock Strategies

Story Achievements (Unmissable)

The first 13 achievements in the table above are tied to story progression. You will unlock them naturally as you play through each section of Chapter 5 — from escaping Huggy Wuggy in the opening chase all the way to the final Prototype confrontation on the train. No special effort required.

🏆 Completionist — All 74 Items

This is the most time-consuming achievement. You need every collectible in a single save file:

  • 19 plushies and golden statues
  • 35 documents
  • 10 audio cassettes
  • 3 VHS tapes
  • 7 hidden blue panels

Collectibles Guide | walkthrough. We recommend collecting items on your first playthrough while following the walkthrough, as some areas are harder to revisit later.

⏱️ Speedrunner — Under 2 Hours

Best attempted on a second playthrough when you know the puzzle solutions and layouts. Key tips:

  • Skip all collectibles — don't detour for documents, audio, or plushies.
  • Memorize puzzle solutions — the pressure tank ranges, locker code (0859), and wiring paths don't change.
  • Don't hesitate during chases — know where to aim for scanner gates (Blue left, Red right) before you get there.
  • Lily's chase — the STOP sequences have fixed timing. Count to three after she yells, then move immediately when singing resumes.
  • Train sequence — have the valve, battery, and elemental charges ready without exploring side paths.

💡 A well-practiced run can finish in about 1 hour 30 minutes. The 2-hour target is generous — the main time sinks are the Biodiversity Lab and Lily's House sections.

💀 Untouchable — No Deaths

Arguably the hardest achievement. The biggest death risks are:

  • Huggy chase sequences — learn the conveyor timing perfectly. Practice the scanner aim.
  • Outimals in the dark — always flip lights first. Never rush into a dark room.
  • Lily's "STOP" phase — freeze the instant she yells. Even slight movement triggers a kill.
  • Magnetic panel sections — crumbling panels are the #1 unexpected death cause. Alternate hands rhythmically.
  • Prototype train chase — don't panic. The Prototype's attacks have generous dodge windows if you keep moving forward.

⚠️ There is no manual save in Chapter 5. If you die, you restart from the last auto-checkpoint. For "Untouchable," this means any death forces a full chapter restart. Do a practice run first.

🔒 Secret Achievement Details

🔒 Button Hunter — All 7 Blue Panels

Hidden blue panels are scattered in obscure spots — under floors, behind walls, on tree trunks. They require the Blue Hand to activate. The hardest to find are #4 (under the floor in Mechanics Wing) and #5 (on a tree trunk in the Playground). Collectibles Guide — Blue Panels section.

🔒 Golden Collection — All Golden Statues

There are three golden statues in Chapter 5. Each requires a specific ability to reach:

  • Golden Giblet — Machine Shop Server Room. Use Blacklight to find the X mark above the servers, then move the correct unit aside.
  • Golden Statuette — Mechanics Wing. Hidden behind a magnetic panel after the spinning blades. Use Blacklight to spot the alcove.
  • Golden Prototype — Final train car. After breaking ice slush, walk to the opposite end of the car instead of going through the door. On a shelf — very easy to miss.

🔒 Lore Master — All VHS + Audio

Watch all 3 VHS tapes (insert them into nearby TV/VCR units) and collect all 10 audio cassettes. Audio logs play automatically on pickup, but VHS tapes must be manually inserted and watched. Make sure you don't just grab the tape — find the TV and play it.

🔒 Red Light, Green Light — Lily's Chase

During Lily's singing chase in the attic, you must freeze when she yells "STOP!" Triggering the stop more than once fails this achievement. The trick:

  • Follow the purple Blacklight trail at a steady walking pace — don't sprint.
  • When you hear her voice shift from singing to screaming, stop instantly.
  • Wait until singing fully resumes (about 3 seconds) before moving again.
  • The chase has 4 "STOP" phases. You can only be caught in one of them — so be hyper-alert during all four.

📋 Recommended Achievement Order

  1. First playthrough: Focus on story + Completionist + Lore Master + Button Hunter + Golden Collection. Take your time, explore everything.
  2. Second playthrough: Go for Speedrunner. You'll know all puzzles and layouts. Skip every collectible.
  3. Third playthrough (optional): Combine Untouchable + Red Light, Green Light if you're confident. Otherwise, do them separately.

With this approach, you can 100% all achievements in roughly 3 playthroughs (~12–15 hours total).
