Where We Stand After Chapter 5
The Player survived a fatal wound. Poppy was kidnapped and submerged in gel. The Prototype survived a train explosion. Sawyer's AI has the Negation Compound formula. Huggy and Kissy were impaled. Every objective failed. →
Prediction 1: The Forced Alliance with Sawyer
The player needs the formula. Sawyer needs freedom. Neither can succeed alone. Expect Sawyer as a reluctant, sarcastic guide — think GLaDOS with the backstory of Josef Mengele. He will absolutely betray the player.
Prediction 2: The Player Identity Reveal
Evidence: Surviving impalement, telepathy with Poppy, called "a good toy," revived by electric shock. Leading theory: an early Elliot experiment with the original gel who lost their memories.
Prediction 3: Rescuing Poppy
Poppy was submerged in raw gel. She may be healed, transformed into a Bigger Body, allied with the Prototype, or in stasis. → →
Prediction 4: Creating the Negation Compound
Requires Sawyer's formula, Growth Medium, and lab equipment. Expect a multi-stage gathering quest with the Prototype closing in.
Prediction 5: New Factory Areas
The Prototype's private lab. The upper factory (toward the surface). Elliot's hidden workshop. Possibly the exterior.
Prediction 6: The Final Confrontation
The Negation Compound neutralizes gel — but the Prototype, Poppy, and possibly the player are all sustained by it. The final choice will be about sacrifice.
